I love this dress in the picture and on the hanger. On me, it looks like a potato sack around the middle. The top fit beautifully and the fabric and details are nice, but the waist is awkward and balloon-like. I can see why it was pictured with a belt in the catalog. I returned it twice (tried another size just to be sure). So it goes.

I was very pleasantly suprised with this dress. It's a little longer than I usually wear, but the length actually looks nice with a heel. Some reviews have said it's a little large in the waist, which is true, but that is where I am heaviest, so it fits me perfectly. The neck line is lovely- not too conservative or plunging. I'm wearing it to a wedding this weekend and I'm sure it will make many other event. I'm very happy with this purchase.

I really wanted to love this dress too. I usually wear a Boden 4. in the tops. The top part of this dress is PERFECT. However the dress was swimming at my hips. The fabric is kind of stretchy so might send back for the 2. This is the second dress I have had to return this season since they have not been flattering at all. I am 5' 4" and 120 pounds.

After reading the reviews, I was hesitant to buy this dress, but I needed something for the opera, and I thought this in black would be perfect. It arrived today, and it is just lovely. The fit is perfect for my hour-glass shape. The waist hits were it is supposed to, and it is fitted without being tight.
One thing I did do was that before I ordered, I checked the garment measurements, and I did decide to go down a size from my usual. I have found that looking at the garment measurements is the best way to determine size, and even fit, by comparing the measurements with those of my favorite Boden items. So, if you want to try this dress, check the garment measurements. This dress definitely did not disappoint.

I wanted to love this dress in the worst way. The material was gorgeous, and the fit from the bustline down was great. Sadly, the neckline was just not right, the armholes were far too big, and the cap sleeve was cut oddly.
