I had high hopes for this dress from the photo and reviews. I was disappointed. It fits like a sack - runs large, and I don't like having to wear a belt - and the material is heavy, rough, and wrinkle-prone. Sent it back.

I really liked this dress in the photos. When I tried it on though, it's not nearly as cute. It really needs the belt, otherwise it just hangs like a sack. Also, it's quite tight through the shoulders for me. One last thing: in the photo the blue dress has dark buttons but when it arrived the buttons are khaki colored.
Despite all that, I'm going to keep it but improve it. I'm going to change the buttons myself, figure out a belt to wear with hit and maybe shorten it a bit. So maybe it's a good starter piece, but it needs help to actually look good on you.

This dress was the first to arrive from my first ever Boden order, I was very disappointed. I ordered two sizes, and both were way to big for me. There is a very strange fit on top and it hangs strangely. Even the smaller size was way too big. I just received another dress that I had ordered (only the bigger size was left) and this dress fit great and was fabulous which reallly makes me wonder how they sized this one. This dress didn't live up to its potential

I love this dress! The linen is extremely good quality and think so it won't wrinkle easily, which I was worried about. I bought the red and blue and returned the blue because it reminded me of a train engineer hat too much. The red dress is amazing. I looks slightly pink, but in a really nice and interestig way. I love the design of the sleeves and buttons which both add interesting styling. I wear it with a thin belt and it can be dressed up or down easily. I am between an 8 and 10 and bought the 8 to keep the belting to an accessory and not out of necessity.

I purchased this dress to wear for Easter and absolutely love it! I am 150lbs and 5'9 and the size 8 regular fits great. I usually order a tall in Boden clothes, but there were no tall sizes available when I ordered. The regular length falls just above my knees and looks very fitting for a mom of 3. The dress is of high quality and is great for a slimming effect in the tummy area. I also have a small bust, and I feel that this dress looks nice in the chest. The only con is that it is a bit difficult to get on and off.

I am 125 lbs and bra size 34C and bought this in size 4 and 6 because I didn't know which would fit better. Ended up going with the size 4 -- it is a bit snug in the chest/shoulders when I move (because the fabric does not give) but it looks so good and tailored. The size 6 didn't look as tailored and had a more loose look on me. Receive many compliments when I wear it.

I got the dress in the denim color and it is fantastic! I dressed it up a bit with nice flats and a cute cardigan --- it could also be paired with sandals for an even more casual look. I anticipate that I will be wearing it quite a bit this spring and summer.
I had expected that the bodice would be more fitted than it is -- the fact that it is on the loose side is not a bad thing -- it just wasn't what I expected. Perhaps it just runs a bit big.
All in all, it is a great, fun dress.

I ordered the 2 and found it very true to size. I am 5'6" and slim and it feels comfy and the right length. I wore it to work w/ a cardigan and wedge sandals but you could wear it w/ flipflops for a more casual look as well.
