This is a great dress for making an ok straightish figure look good -- it doesn't cling, and has enough shape not to be frumpy. The cord. fabric is soft and the liner lets it slide well. I did end up going with the smaller of the two sizes I tried (in fact a size smaller than what I choose for Boden sweaters).
I hope Boden makes more dresses like this one in the future!

I read the reviews before ordering this dress and ordered a size smaller than I might have otherwise. It fits perfectly! (OK--it's a tad bit long and I wish this style came in petite.) Others commented that this dress was boxy but I found the slight waist shaping perfect. It minimizes my bust and skims over any other bulges (you know what I mean). I got it in the pewter print and have received many complements on it.

LOVE this dress. It is fully lined and the corduroy is so soft. I thought the colors were a little more muted in person than on the screen. I felt dressed up but SO comfortable at the same time. This is a prefect dress style for curvy or hourglass shapes!

This dress will be comfortable for weekend wear, but the sizing was way off. I'm normally a Boden 10R, but the 10 was too big in the shoulders and just got bigger as you go down. I exchanged for an 8 which fits better in the shoulders and bust, but it is nowhere near fitted (like the model in the picture). It's comfortable loose now and not baggy. I'm 5'5", 34D, and 39" hips.
I can deal with the heavier weight of the dress since I usually keep a sweater handy all year round - I get cold easily. The colors are definitely more faded than the pictures. The blue is like a faded denim - looks nice with fair skin and blonde hair.

This dress looks so cute but it's way too oversized - I'm usually right on size with Boden (8 US) but this dress was like a sack on me - too long, too big. Also since it's short sleeved but cordoroy and also fully lined it just feels like a mismatch - it would be too hot to wear on warm days but maybe because of its length and short sleeves too cool to wear on cold days. Had to send it back.

This is the third Boden dress of the spring that I've had to return for a smaller size. I have three other Boden dresses from last fall that fit to a T in size 10, but suddenly this spring it seems size 10 is bigger! On my 5'6 pear shape the 10 looks like a milk maid apron or something. The aqua color is beautiful and the cord fabric feels great, but I am so frustrated with Boden changing their sizing I am not sure I have the patience to wait out the 8.

Yet another dress for those of us who do not have perfect shapes. The mid section has just enough freedom to hide the flaws, and the top is not too fitted, so that my smaller 34Bs are not obviously too small for the dress. This is not to say larger cups won't fit, just that this dress seems allow for different shapes. I got my usual size 8 and it was perfect! I love the woodblock colors and even got complements while wearing it to an artist's house in San Miguel de Allende in Mexico! My waist is about 29" and my hips are about 39" to give more info, I am just over 5'7" and nearing 140 these days.

I received this dress in pewter woodcut, and the colors didn't suit me at all (I am a fair skinned blonde). The colors online seemed to be much brighter and saturated than they are in reality -- washed out. The colors of the dress made me look like I was wearing a nightie. The fit otherwise was good. I am a petite, and 8R fit well. I will be sending it back, hence 3 stars, to exchange for a solid color.
