This is a beautiful dress that I wore to a business awards ceremony, however the fit is a bit odd. I almost always wear a size 4 (including from Boden), but the 4 barely got over my head and the bottom half was skin tight in a very strange way. I went up to a 6 and the problem improved, although the bottom half was still tigher than the top half and I am pretty proportional on top and bottom. I even tried two 4's just to make sure I didn't receive a defective dress the first time. So, just beware of the fit issue.

It's so difficult finding a beautiful, elegant SIMPLE dress. So many current styles are made for juniors, are too embellished or, if you're an older woman, too 'mumsy'. This dress is timeless, comfortable and the color (I got the Foxglove) is so gorgeous! I love the sleeves and detail on the neckline. I'd recommend this to anyone who wants a classic, yet pretty dress.

I have 2 weddings to attend this year and have been looking for a unique dress that wouldn't break the bank (in other words, not something from the mall nor from an expensive boutique) and this dress is it! This is my second Boden dress but the first is a stretchy jersey and a hand me down so wasn't real sure about the sizing...Since European made clothes in my experience fit smaller, I ordered a size 6 (I'm normally a size 4) and it fits like glove. I am small chested and the slight gathering on the bodice covers up that fact! lol. Also, I like the fact that while it's got a straight skirt, it's not clingy so it falls nicely and I don't have to hold in my stomach all day...I CAN have a second piece of wedding cake!
I don't have Michelle Obama arms so it was also nice to find a dress with a little bit of a sleeve. The sleeves also have a pretty detail I did not notice in that they are made of a chiffon (?) or lightweight silk.
The color of the dress is a little darker than my monitor showed (I thought it was more of a fuschia but it's a little darker, like a berry) but I think I like it more...
So happy to have found this dress...looks great, fits well and so pretty!

This dress is perfection. As a fashion conscious 50 something, it's incredibly difficult to find something that doesn't have spaghetti straps or is flimsy matte jersey. The seamless side zipper makes it easy to climb in and out of, and the material is beautiful!
I can easily picture wearing this to several special events this summer with some great jewelry and a cute little sweater. Thank you for making a comfortable yet stylish dress!

This is my first Boden dress. I bought this for an upcoming (summer) big-city hotel wedding in New England. I ordered the dress in the navy in a size 6. The fit is just as I had hoped; slim and extremely flattering. Love the fabric; the silk- cotton blend has a great hand . The low neckline is still elegant and works well with a necklace while the pleats add subtle interest (all great for pictures). Love too that the dress has short sleeves-not easy to find in a formal dress!
